Who we are

ZoneEdu is operated by Zoneedu, which is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at privacy@zoneedu.com.

What we collect

When you create a ZoneEdu account we store your email address, an optional display name, and the authentication identifier supplied by your sign-in method. As you read we store reading progress, bookmarks and a short reading history so the library can restore your place. If you subscribe to the newsletter we store your email address for that purpose.

How we use it

Your data is used to operate your account, remember where you stopped reading, provide support, manage membership status, and send the newsletter you asked for. We do not sell personal data and we do not use your reading history for advertising.

Payments

Membership payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for our orders. Paddle collects and processes your payment details, handles billing, tax compliance and invoicing, and does so under its own privacy policy. Card details are entered with Paddle and are never stored on ZoneEdu servers. We keep only the subscription status and identifiers needed to know whether your membership is active.

Who we share data with

We share data only with the service providers needed to run ZoneEdu: our cloud hosting and database provider, Paddle (as Merchant of Record, for payments, subscription management, tax and invoicing), and professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it.

Legal bases

We process account and reading data to perform our contract with you, newsletter data with your consent, and limited records to meet legal obligations and prevent abuse.

Retention

Account and reading data are kept while your account exists. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Billing records are kept for the period required by law.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can withdraw newsletter consent at any time. Write to privacy@zoneedu.com and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Cookies and storage

ZoneEdu uses essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember reader preferences. Without them the site cannot maintain a session.

Security

Data is stored with a managed cloud provider using encryption in transit and access controls that restrict each account's records to that account. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

ZoneEdu is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised date.
